Do you want to learn:
How to make more time for YOU?
How to Treat Yourself More Gently?
Stop doing things that hurt your body?
This post is designed to help
you make the shift!
1. Prioritize Time for You

Self-Care is the art of taking care of YOU. Yes, you!
Maybe you're a busy parent so you get served last & eat everyone's scraps?
Perhaps you are a busy single person working the grind of daily life?
Whoever you are, life is full on these days, but you have to find time for yourselves. This is the first step of Self-Care!
Why Take Care of You First?
Well, the adage "You can't help others until you help yourself" is very true.
You know when you fly on an airplane and the safety videos remind you to put your oxygen mask on first before you help put other people's masks on. Well, this is what I am talking about.

2. Care for Yourself Like a Baby

Another way I like to look at it is - think about how you care for someone special in your life. Do you care for yourself in that way?
Sometimes we need to treat ourselves like we treat our most precious child. This is nurturing ourselves. The second step in Self-Care is being gentle with yourself.
When someone else, especially a child, is sick or gets hurt you are probably quiet compassionate to them. But how do you treat yourself when you aren't feeling well? Are you gentle with yourself?

3. Replace Unhealthy Habits with Positive Patterns

The third step in Self-Care is transforming unhealthy habits to positive ones!
Have you ever found yourself doing something that really isn't good for you?
That may feel good for a moment, but later you experience the consequences?
Sometimes, bad habits mask themselves as short term solutions to taking care of yourself. Really, you want to replace unhealthy habits with positive ones!
This post is about using natural ways to truly nurture your inner need for health - that moment when you feel good! You want to feel good right?

4. Create Time for Self-Care
I understand Self-Care may seem like a concept for a single person with extra time on their hands. Because really...Is there even enough time to think about YOU much less take care of your personal needs? The answer is YES!
One thing I have realized as a mother is there isn't always much time to take care of myself. And that quantity of time may not shift for quite awhile. However, it's the quality of how we spend the time we do have! That's the focus.
In the next Blog Post I go into How You find Time for Self-Care; it's called the Self-Care Equation.

5. Find at Least 5 Minutes a Day Just for YOU!

Start with just 5 minutes for YOU! And if you can turn that into a daily commitment you are well on your way to bringing Self-Care into your daily life.
With any daily practice you may have engaged in like: yoga, watching T.V., or eating chocolate, you devote yourself to showing up. Some days you may not feel like it, and those are the days that a Self-Care Practice will push you through the stuck energy. I have been there, too. Remember when you nurture that Inner Child, you can then show up for everyone else you care for more fully. Maybe on a challenging day to find 5 minutes for yourself, your Self-Care looks like: putting your feet up, rubbing Joy essential oil on your temples and heart, and just breathing. You will feel better. That's what Self-Care is all about. Once you find the time and start doing it, it feels so good.
I will continue to offer inspirational ways to boost your Self-Care practice with herbal remedies! This mindset we have just established is the foundation for moving forward. I invite you to soak it in! Blessings on your healing journey!
