Empowered Individual Ready for Self-Care
I'm not trying to single you out (O.K. maybe I meant that pun) but you probably have more time to implement a lot of these tips into your daily life. And maybe you work long hours and don't feel like you have much time for Self-Care. Well, I'm here to inspire you to find the time you do have and nurture yourself.
I've done the hard core hustle. I've always been the one to juggle many jobs at once. One particular time in my life, I worked in New York City for two years as a full-time nanny. I liked to call myself a Childcare Specialist. During this time in the City, I worked 6 days a week for 11 hours. I had an hour commute walking and on the subway on each end of the day. So 13 hours later, I would get home to Brooklyn. And what did I do? Self-Care of course. The only way I could keep it up with positivity and enthusiasm was to take care of myself. Every night I took a long bath with salts, essential oils, candles, and all kinds of herbal body care products. This was so healing to unwind and clear out the day. Then I would massage my feet and sit down to meditate. Sure, when my sabbath day come I would add in some other components, like eat at nourishing home cooked meal or two;) but without my nightly ritual I would have been exhausted. Anyway, the point of the story is there is always time for Self-Care even when you are on the grind!
