5 Things Harry Potter Taught Me About Homeopathy

1. Latin is important.
Knowing the right latin words and the protocol of how to put them all together can really get you out of a jam. When you first start to study homeopathy it may be challenging to keep track of which remedy is for what, how it’s pronounced and how it’s spelled. But with some support and practice you’ll be able to shout out (select) the right remedy under pressure.

2. Love is a super power.
We mamas love our people and  that’s why we’re tenacious enough to tackle learning new healing modalities to better serve those we care about. We will do what it takes, even if it means tackling coursework that involves Latin.

3. Not being on Netflix is awesome!
I know you don’t have a lot of time to yourself to leisurely study homeopathy (most days going to the bathroom with the door closed in silence feels like winning!), but strategically being a night owl is one way to find some precious hours. Look at the next 6-8 weeks and see where you can eliminate time sucks. Instead Netflix and chill; it's study group and slay! Set aside the time to get a jump on the knowledge you seek to keep your loved ones in good health. You can do it, we’re here to help.

4. Excellent teachers make all the difference.
Homeopathy is a vast subject. You could study it for a lifetime and not reach the end. That’s why it's so important to have an excellent teacher. After spending years attempting to study with a bold homeopathy teacher who didn’t fully understand the unique challenges and needs of students who are mothers, we finally found a teacher who does get us!

We’ll never get back those botched years of effort, but the experience has made us recognize the depth of care that has gone into all of the courses we now  use for our study groups.

Joette Calabrese is like our headmistress of homeopathy. She’s an excellent teacher who presents her information in a clear, concise fashion that equips us to quickly reference the information we need to heal our family.

Given the obstacles that moms have to learning homeopathy, would you rather spend years trying to forge it alone with some success or embark on a well traveled path of mastery with a supportive community?

Joette's depth of knowledge has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. She has saved us from misery and suffering so many times!

5. Having a focused crew of classmates is a blessing!
Tackling homeopathy with others helps you make the most of the time you invest. When you sign up for one of our study groups, you not only get the materials for the course work, you’re  also connecting with the brainpower of other mamas.

You better believe we’ve been taking notes and if you find yourself suddenly facing something new that’s freaking you out, we got you!  Our study group shares resources that will help you research potential solutions fast.

"Read alouds" are the balm that soothes and covers my mothering errors of the day. A good story, read with gusto and heart can really help people simmer down, focus on a quiet activity and chill.

As the hours that we read and listen to stories has increased, I began to see this interesting pattern emerge. The stories that we were reading had parallel connections to other subjects on my heart and mind.  After sharing these book connections with friends, the idea of putting them together in a “list” was born. This is the first post in our book series where we’ll be sharing our favorites with a little extra insight.
